Over the past ten years, we have advised both companies that develop and supply technology and those that procure and manage it.
Whether you are on the supplier or the customer side, working with a lawyer on a technology project does not have to be limited to signing a contract.
Before you begin approaching suppliers or defining your specification, we assess what data you will be processing, what regulatory rules will apply, and how responsibilities should be allocated between you and the supplier or buyer. We prepare the legal section of the tender documentation – so that you receive comparable bids and have control from the outset over what you will be able to require of the supplier.
We go through bids, licensing terms, and business models with you. We flag hidden costs, dependencies, and risks that are not immediately apparent from the proposals – from the licensing structure through to termination conditions. We help you select a solution where you know exactly what you are getting into.
We prepare or review the main agreement and all annexes – scope of performance, liability, timeline, price, licences, security, penalties, and termination. We negotiate with the other side on what matters to you commercially, and ensure that the contract reflects how the project is actually intended to run.
During the project, we handle things that nobody anticipated in the original agreement — change requests, amendments, delays, disputes over the scope of performance, and preparation of acceptance. We help you negotiate any adjustments so that the project can continue, and we document decisions so that in the event of a dispute you have the materials that could prove useful.
We structure SLAs, service terms, support rules, and data management so that they match how the system is actually used. We help with incident resolution, SLA performance assessment, and preparation of further development phases. For long-term contracts, we periodically check whether the contractual framework still reflects reality — or whether it is time for an update.
When it is time to move to a different solution, we secure the handover of data and documentation. And if an unwanted dispute arises during exit, we gather evidence, assess the strength of your position, and decide whether it makes sense to pursue the matter through court, arbitration, or a negotiated settlement. We enforce your rights in a way that gives the project a dignified continuation – not endless escalation.
Most of our clients think of a lawyer for the first time at stage 03 or 04. But genuinely valuable collaboration often starts earlier. If you are currently considering a new technology project – or are already in the middle of one – we are happy to look at where legal support delivers the most value.
