Matej is an attorney who combines legal expertise with practical experience in managing large organizations and complex projects in the public, financial and technology sectors.

He has served as Director of Corporate Governance at Operátor ICT, Director of Operations and Procurement at the National Development Bank (Národní rozvojová banka), Head of Public Procurement at Czech Television and as a contract manager for Czech Post. For the last two years, he worked as an attorney cooperating  with the law firms Vych & Partners and Bird & Bird.

What appealed to me about endors is that it understands legal advice in a broader context  – not just as solving a legal question, but as support for business decision-making, risk management and project delivery. That is exactly the direction in which I want to keep developing my practice. Thanks to my experience in legal practice, management and running organizations, I try to look at legal problems through the client’s eyes as well: how a given solution will hold up in practice, how it will affect the management of the company and whether it will really help move things forward. At endors, I look forward to working on projects where law is not separate from business, technology and management, but a natural part of them,” adds Matej.

In parallel, he has served and continues to serve on the statutory and supervisory bodies of major companies, including in the energy, water utility and ICT sectors – e.g. Pražská energetika, Vodárenská akciová společnost Želivka or, previously, Operátor ICT.

In addition to his legal education (JUDr., Ph.D. in international business law), he has also earned an MBA in the strategic management of companies.
